Baisakhi 2019-20

Keeping with the tradition of celebrating all festivals with fervour and gaiety, a special assembly was conducted on Baisakhi by class Prep on 19th April’19. The school premises wore a festive look with the compound decorated with items depicting the heritage of Punjab. The children spoke about its importance that how Baisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also a very auspicious day as on this day Guru Gobind Singh established the ‘Khalsa Panth’. Dhol beats and Punjabi folk dance added to the excitement. Children also recited a beautiful poem on Baisakhi. The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage.
