Award Ceremony

Delhi Public School, Servodaya Nagar hosted its Annual Award ceremony ‘Our Shining Stars’ on Saturday, 23rd March 2019 in its premises. Each year this ceremony is held to acknowledge the achievements of our brilliant students who have made both school and their parents proud.
The ceremony was graced by the amiable presence of our Pro-Vice Chairperson Mrs. Bandana Misra, Founder Mr. Alok Misra, Member of the Managing Committee Mr. Devavrata Misra, Principal Mrs. Rachna Mohotra and Head Mistress Mrs. Pratibha Shukla.
The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Mrs. Bandana Misra. Headmistress Ma’am Pratibha Shukla read the school report. She emphasized that awards are a way to encourage good behaviour and inculcate the competitive streak in the children.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Justifying the statement the students of class 3 spoke lines which illustrated the various roles of an ideal student. The bright and vibrant props adorned by the children befitted well with the theme of the lines and conveyed the message of eminence to one and all.
Thereafter the ‘Award for Application’ was presented to the students achieving the highest percentage in the class. The ‘General Proficiency’ Award was given to the students who are proficient and are capable of doing very well in co-scholastic activities also.
A poem ‘My Shadow’ was presented with great energy by the students of class II. To acknowledge and applaud the committed performance of some of our students throughout the year the award for ‘Consistency’ was given to them. The all rounder’s were acknowledged for their exceptional participation by presenting them with the ‘All Round Good Performance Award’.
Our school choir sang a rhythmic song ‘count your blessings’ that conveyed the message of being grateful for all the great things in our life.
Closely followed by the choir presentation, the certificate for ‘Good Spoken English’ was given to the students who made the extra effort of conversing in English and adding new words to their vocabulary.
Appreciation in any form encourages a child and motivates him to excel. Keeping this in mind an award for ‘General Improvement’ was given to students who had shown a remarkable improvement in their performance by the end of the academic year.
“Punctuality is the Soul of Success”. The next award was given for ‘Full Attendance’ to the children who did not miss a single day of school.
The students of classes I to V played a musical and rhythmic orchestra and gave a strong message on hard work, struggle and dedication. To enhance the beauty of the Award Ceremony, the young and dynamic dancers of class IV exhibited their talent through an inspirational and motivational dance, “We Are The Champions”. All the performers danced gracefully with full confidence and zeal and showcased breath taking beautiful formations on stage.
Pro-Vice Chairperson Ma’am Bandana Misra congratulated the students and encouraged them to not only pursue their own goals but to also make a difference in the lives of those with whom they associate.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks by the Head Mistress Ma’am Pratibha Shukla wherein she thanked the management and the whole parent fraternity.
