Best Out of Waste

Best Out of Waste

“We do not inherit the earth from our parents
We borrow from our children”

Even waste can be useful, productive or can be turned into a decorative piece. Making the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. It was the human creative mind that gave birth to this extraordinary idea of using unwanted material in a useful way. This habit of getting the best out of waste should be instilled in kids from an early age, not only to teach them about recycling but also to encourage their creativity. To support this idea a competition Best out of Waste was organised in DPS, Servodaya Nagar in which the students were given small cut-outs like corn mushroom, tomato, brinjal, watermelon. Little hands beautifully decorated it by doing paper crumpling, wool sticking etc. The objective of this competition was to give a lesson to the students on reducing waste to save our future.
