Grandparents Day 2019-20

To become a grandparent can be one of the best feelings in the world. There is a special bond that grandparents share with their grandchildren and it grows stronger with time. The grandparents are known as the roots of the family. They are experienced and knowledgeable and they always share their valuable life lessons to help the newer generations learn and grow. They serve their children and grandchildren selflessly and help them to become better human beings. The bond between grandparents and grandchildren cannot be described in words. With this thought Grandparents Day was celebrated with great pomp and show at D.P.S Serrvodaya Nagar. The grandparents were welcomed by the children with flowers and a badge with a message on it. A story session was taken by the grandparents and tasty and healthy non fire food items were prepared by them in cooking round. The children recited an acrostic poem on grandparents with their hearts full of love. The programme ended with the presentation of a token of love by the children to their grandparents.
