Janamashtami Assembly

August is a month packed with celebrations ‘ Festivals are characterised by colours, enthusiasm, prayers and rituals’.
A special assembly was conducted by class Pre- Nursery on the occasion of Janamashtami , a festival which commemorates the earthly arrival of Lord Krishna.
The assembly began with the recitation of a popular Shloka from the Bhagwad Gita. This was followed by some facts about Lord Krishna presented beautifully by our little ones.
A skit with ‘Krishna Leela’ was enacted by the kids giving the message of victory of Good over Evil. Beautiful decorations like flutes, matkis etc were put up to make this event more colourful and vibrant. The school choir sang the song ‘Chotti chotti gayiyan’ which delighted the hearts of the audience.
The assembly came to an end with a group dance presentation by the children on a peppy number, which left the audience spell bound.
