Values

DISCIPLINE – We at DPS, Serrvodaya Nagar aim at higher standards of discipline in school and expect the same at home by our students. Discipline is an essential part of our life. It helps us to lead our life smoothly. Parents, elders of the family and the teachers are the first persons to introduce the sense of discipline to the children. In school education, discipline is a set of rules and regulations that remind us of the proper code of behaviour.

HONESTY – It is the component of moral character which develops good attributes including truthfulness, kindness, discipline, integrity etc. The belief, “Honesty is the best policy”, is something that should not and must never be confined within books and formal teachings only but must be applied in everyday lives of human beings.

RESPECT AND COURTESY – The Students at DPS Serrvodaya Nagar are trained to be polite and treat others with equal respect as one would treat oneself. Courteous behaviour requires selfless attitude and can give you perspective of other’s situations. Our constant endeavour is to bring up the considerate students so that they are able to build a reputation as respectable and thoughtful people.

SELF CONFIDENCE – Student’s confidence is an important factor in educational success. Self confidence opens doors and encourages students to take risks, express their creativity in classroom assignments and invest in the work they produce at school. A self -confident child is more likely to be optimistic and motivated.

TIME MANAGEMENT – It is the process of planning and controlling the time spent on specific activities consciously especially to increase effectiveness efficiency and productivity. The students at DPS Serrvodaya Nagar are taught to use their time effectively and find more time for what’s most important.

PERSEVERANCE – It is not giving up the effort required to do something, but the effort to continue doing it till the end. Our students are supported to develop a sense to withstand discouragement or difficulty, to keep their spirit up and keep the head held high.

GENEROSITY – Being magnanimous is the virtue of being kind and generous. A generous individual will always respect the old and show love and care for the young, will have mercy for the poor and underprivileged and will never break the rules and code of conduct of any institution whether or not he/she is associated or disassociated with the same.
