“Leaders are the role models who inspire the followers and motivate them to reach the pinnacle of success.”

The Investiure ceremony of D.P.S. Serrvodaya Nagar for the academic session 2019-2020 was held on Tuesday, 23rd July, 2019 with great pomp and dignity. This ceremony signifies the relevance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly elected office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.

The ceremony was graced with the benign presence of the Pro-Vice chairperson Mrs. Bandana Misra, Founder Mr. Alok Misra, Member of the managing committee Mr. Devavrata Misra, Principal Mrs. Rachna Mohotra and Headmistress Mrs. Pratibha Shukla. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Pro-vice chairperson Mrs. Bandana Misra.

Excellence is not being the best, it is doing your best. Role models are the ones who are looked to and revered by everyone. To create awareness in our children about a good role model who is always positive, calm and confident, a role model show was presented by the students of class V. They inspire people to reach higher, dream bigger and achieve greater in life. A man with virtues of dutifulness, dedication and spirit of service becomes a motivating force for one and all. This message was given by the students through an expressive poem, ‘The Leader’. The children recited the poem with great zeal and enthusiasm. Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. Keeping this thought in mind the school choir presented a melodious song. ‘There shall be showers of Blessing’. Dance is the joy of movement and the heart of life. The students of class V presented an exemplary dance performance on a western number. The students danced gracefully with alluring and flawless dance moves.

The Pro-Vice chairperson Ma’am Bandana Misra handed over the badges to the Headboy, Headgirl and school prefects who were eagerly waiting to take up their duties. This was followed by the oath taking ceremony of the student council. The programme concluded with an exuberant performance of the school orchestra.

The Headmistress Mrs. Pratibha Shukla congratulated the newly elected student council and laid stress on the significance of setting priorities and the need to be great communicators.
